The most important thing on this page

Kaam Ase is a listing platform. We are not an employer, we are not a labour contractor, and we are not a recruitment agency.

We introduce workers and employers to each other. Everything that happens after that the rate, the hours, the work, the payment is agreed directly between the two of you. We are not a party to it, we do not hold or pay wages, and we are not present at the work site.

What we can do is investigate a report, keep a record, and remove people who cheat.

1. Who can use Kaam Ase

You must be 18 or older. You must give real information about yourself. One person, one account.

You may not use Kaam Ase if we have previously removed your account.

2. What it costs

Kaam Ase is free for workers. It always will be.

We will never charge a worker to register, to create a profile, to be found, to be verified, or to be hired.

Nobody may ask a worker for money to get a job. Not us, not an employer, and not anybody claiming to represent us. If somebody asks you to pay for a job, registration, a badge, or placement, do not pay and report it to us. Doing so may result in the account responsible being removed from Kaam Ase.

For employers, the basic use of Kaam Ase remains free. Employers can create a profile, find workers, post jobs, contact workers, and use the platform without paying.

Rich Manu is an optional paid upgrade for employers. It provides additional employer features and is available through the app as monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime purchase options. The applicable price is shown before you confirm a purchase. Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

We will always show the applicable price and purchase terms before you pay. Workers are never required to purchase Rich Manu or any other paid feature to find work or get hired.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for anything done through your account.

Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has access to it.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why first — but for serious matters, such as fraud, harassment, or asking a worker for money, we will remove the account immediately.

Account and service communications

By creating a Kaam Ase account, you agree that we may contact you using the email address and phone number associated with your account for purposes related to your account and the operation of the platform. This may include account confirmation, reminders to confirm or complete your account, security notices, important service notices, and communications relating to your use of Kaam Ase.

Where appropriate, we may send these communications by email, WhatsApp, or other communication methods used by Kaam Ase. WhatsApp messages may be delivered through WhatsApp or a WhatsApp Business Platform service provider acting on our behalf.

These communications are service and account-related communications, not advertising or promotional messages.

4. If you are a worker

  • Give accurate information about your trade, experience, and rates.
  • Only add a voucher who has agreed to vouch for you. Ask them before you put their number in.
  • Keep your availability up to date. Marking yourself available when you are working wastes an employer’s time and damages your own record.
  • If you accept a job, turn up. If you cannot, tell the employer as early as you can.
  • Agree the rate before you start, not after.

5. If you are an employer

  • Post real jobs with a real rate. Jobs without an honest rate waste everybody’s time.
  • Pay what you agreed, when you agreed. This is the single thing workers report most, and we act on it.
  • Do not post a rate below the statutory minimum wage for Nagaland. The platform blocks this, and doing it deliberately is grounds for removal.
  • Do not ask a worker for money, for any reason.
  • Treat workers properly. Work inside a home carries particular responsibility, and only verified employers can contact workers in those trades.
  • Do not use Kaam Ase to find workers for anything illegal.

6. Ratings

Ratings can only be given after a real hire. Both sides answer the same kind of questions, and neither side sees the other’s answers until both have submitted, or until fourteen days have passed. This is so that nobody can be punished for being honest.

We do not show a rating until at least three people have rated somebody, so that one bad day does not decide everything.

You may not:

  • Ask, pay, or pressure anybody to give a particular rating
  • Rate yourself, or arrange for somebody to rate you for work that did not happen
  • Use a rating comment to insult somebody, or to say anything unrelated to the work

We may remove a rating that breaks these rules. We will not remove a rating simply because somebody dislikes it.

7. What you may not do

  • Pretend to be somebody else, or create a fake profile
  • Collect phone numbers or profile information in bulk, by any means, automated or otherwise
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anybody
  • Post anything false, misleading, obscene, or unlawful
  • Use Kaam Ase to advertise anything other than work
  • Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the platform
  • Use the platform to discriminate unlawfully against anybody

8. Photographs and what you write

You keep ownership of the photographs you upload and the words you write.

By putting them on Kaam Ase, you give us permission to display them on the platform for as long as your account exists. That permission ends when you delete your account or remove the content.

Do not upload a photograph you do not have the right to use, and do not upload a photograph of somebody else without their permission.

9. Reports and complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us. Reports are private: we never show them on anybody’s profile, and we never tell the person who reported them.

We read every report within two working days.

We can investigate, ask questions, keep a record, and remove an account. We cannot make anybody pay you, and we cannot act as a court. For a wage dispute we cannot resolve, your remedies are with the Labour Department of Nagaland, the police, or the courts, and nothing in these terms takes those away from you.

In an emergency, call 112. Do not use a website form.

10. What we do not promise

We do not promise that you will find work, or that you will find a worker.

We do not verify every claim anybody makes about themselves. A “Verified” badge means somebody from Kaam Ase met that person in person. A “Vouched” mark means the person named a local figure who vouches for them. Neither is a guarantee of anything, and you should use your own judgement.

We do not check the legal status, licences, or permits of anybody using the platform. That remains the responsibility of the worker and the employer.

The platform may sometimes be unavailable while we fix or improve it.

11. Limits on our responsibility

Kaam Ase, as an intermediary, is not liable for what users do to each other, for unpaid wages, for injury at a work site, or for the quality of work done while not attempting to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury, or our own fraud.

12. Intermediary status

Kaam Ase acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021. We do not create or control what users post.

Grievance Officer: Name: Aloto Naga. Email: grievance@kaamase.com Phone: 6383359495 Address: Purna Bazar Dimapur.

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 30 days, as those Rules require.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kaam Ase after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

We may end your access if you break these terms.

Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, limits on responsibility, and governing law — continue to apply after your account ends.
